Protects commercial fruit orchard farmers against weather perils (unseasonal rainfall, hailstorms, high temperature, frost, and high-speed wind) across 9 horticulture crops: Mango, Pomegranate, Banana, Orange, Grapes, Sweet Lime (Mosambi), Guava, Lemon, and Custard Apple. Under the ₹1 Crop Insurance initiative, farmers pay a nominal token premium of only ₹1 per orchard application, while state and central governments subsidize the remaining 100% insurance premium.
