Premier state merit-cum-means scholarship providing generous monthly stipends to meritorious students from economically weaker sections pursuing higher education in West Bengal. Scholarship amounts range from ₹1,000 per month (₹12,000/year) for Higher Secondary students, ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 per month for Undergraduate (General/Honours) courses, ₹1,500 per month for Polytechnic diplomas, ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 per month for Postgraduate degrees, and ₹5,000 per month (₹60,000/year) for Medical (MBBS) and Engineering (B.Tech) degree students. The scholarship is renewed annually based on regular academic progression.
