Must have an active grid-connected residential electricity connection in their name with the local DISCOM. Solar modules and inverters must comply with Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) and Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).

How to Apply

1. Visit the national PM Surya Ghar portal (https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in) or use the PM Surya Ghar Mobile App. 2. Select your State, Electricity Distribution Company (DISCOM), and enter your Electricity Consumer Account Number. 3. Authenticate with mobile number and email. 4. Fill in roof details, sanctioned load, and proposed solar plant capacity. 5. Apply for feasibility approval from DISCOM online. 6. Once feasibility is approved, choose an empaneled registered vendor to install the solar plant with ALMM-compliant solar modules. 7. Post-installation, submit plant details and apply for net-metering. 8. Following DISCOM inspection and net meter commissioning, a Commissioning Certificate is generated on the portal. 9. Submit bank account details and cancelled cheque; central subsidy is released via DBT directly into applicant bank account within 30 days.
